- Document requirements
- Requirements are confirmed and/or approved in the appropriate format
- Specification details are established and confirmed, including quality standards, in accordance with enterprise procedures
- Required completion date and any delivery requirements are documented
- Special instructions to production team are added where required
- Appropriate cost details are incorporated when necessary
